SuperSport TV has decided against not broadcasting the soon-to-commence AFCON Tournament in Ivory Coast.
West Africans can be happy they can comfortably see all matches live on SuperSports from the Kick-off to the finals. There were concerns initially that the South Africa TV Station will be not broadcasting the tournament on any of their channels, but earlier today, news reaches us that there is U-turn and that they now have broadcasting rights for the event in Ivory Coast.
SuperSport came under fire for failing to secure broadcasting rights in South Africa, where it enjoys a substantial and meaningful audience, the general public shows concerns and dissatisfactions as to why such a prestigious tournament in Africa will not be broadcasted on their most-sought-after broadcasting station.
Now, people of Africa, especially Nigerians can be rest assured that the African Cup of Nation will be broadcasted Live on SuperSports Channels, MultiChoice-Owned SuperSport Tv will broadcast the 2023 AFCON in Nigeria, confirmed GOtv.
South Africa, meanwhile will watch the African Cup of Nation on the country's National Broadcaster, the SABC, who sub-leased the rights from Togolese network "New World TV. Be reminded that New World TV owns the rights for the tournament in Ivory Coast.
